Creston's Turns the Big 3-0

What a great time we had enjoying the fall colors and friends back east for Creston's birthday. Many thanks to the Fants: Josh, Jen, Brendan, and Gavin for their awesome hospitality - including yummy meals and warm clothes for Joshua. It was a rejuvenating and relaxing trip and just what we needed. :)

Halloween Fun at Dewberry Farm

What a blast we had yesterday! First off was family pictures and then we were off to a local farm to enjoy some pre-Halloween fun. Shane, Sara, and their Henry (Joshua's buddy) came along for the fun and we had such a good time! We saw all sorts of cool things, but best of all - the little guys got to see their favorite things - Henry and horses and Joshua and tractors. It was super fun!

Hurricane Ike - That was a close one

Too close for comfort - we came to within 1/2 inch of flooding after the salt-in-the-wound thunderstorm after Hurricane Ike. We're back to normal (if there is such a thing) and have had the power back on for 5 days. Never will we take electricity for granted. We truly are blessed to have such conveniences in our lives. We're safe. Our home is safe. And through it all - it really brought our neighborhood closer and made us realize that we do love where we live.
