March, March...I feel the warmth coming :)

Finally...it's getting warm in Houston. LOL.

Where to begin. This 2010 year has been quite the adventure already. Given that Creston volunteered to be a campaign manager for the Texas 18th congressional district campaign - the March 2nd primary date was a light to work towards. "Our" candidate, John Faulk (www.faulkforcongress.org) was in a 3-way run for the Republican ticket. Thanks to a lot of late nights and hard work - John took 57% of the vote in the primary - yippee! Now on to the general election campaign, which is steaming along in hopes of defeating 15-year incumbent, Sheila Jackson Lee. It's a worthy venture and we're in for the long haul through November.

So that's one tiny thing on our plate. :)

Sweet Reese is our little princess and we love her goodness. She has found her voice and uses it more and more to get our attention. She's a good eater - surprised? She loves her brother Josh and watches his silly antics whenever he is around to entertain. She's not quite crawling but scoots on her tummy, reaches, and lunges pretty well. Her two-teeth smile warms our hearts - okay melts our hearts. She loves mommy's 'pretty' things like necklaces and earrings so we know we have a future diva on our hands. She's been a bit sick recently fighting a cold and now a fever - hopefully she can kick them soon.

Joshua, the boundless ball of energy, has now discovered that his favorite word is 'Why?' which mommy and daddy LOVE. He wants to know how EVERYTHING works, especially if it involves tools, cars, tractors, or trucks. He's a super duper helper who wants to be helping mom and dad on whatever they are doing. Even tonight as we type on the computer, he fell asleep on my feet just so he could be close to us. We know that his longing to be close to mommy and daddy is fleeting - so we just smiled.

Okay, so on top of kids and campaign, there's the 'normal' stuff of real estate work, moms group, striving to be a good mom, sister, friend -- and oh, prepare our house to sell. So my thanks are raised high for the beautiful weekend we just enjoyed so I could add some life back into our lifeless yard to help in that adventure. It feels like Houston again and Spring is almost officially here! There's no telling what's going to happen next.
