June Flew By :)

June absolutely flew by at our house this year. Getting adjusted to having 2 kiddos has been both challenging and rewarding. We loved having Grandma Louise come and visit and she helped with so many projects and Joshua just loved, loved, loved her.

Joshua is our little fish and is learning to swim incredibly fast - which amazes us. Two months ago, he hated water poured down his face in the tub, now he jumps into the pool and can paddle and dive and do all sorts of tricks. He's fearless.

Reese is a sweetie pie and as you'll see from the pictures, getting cute and chubby. She's six weeks old today and now only requires one feeding during the night so we are much more well-rested parents. :) Truly, she is a gentle blessing in our family and it melts our hearts to see how tenderly Joshua kisses her head and talks baby talk to her.

Business is a great wheel of motion that keeps turning and we couldn't be happier to now have Creston full-time in real estate and loving every minute of it. Yes, there's still some late nights after putting kiddos to bed, but that balances with slower mornings of enjoying breakfast together as a family unhurried.

Updates on the Kiddos

Well, summertime brings the hot, humid days of sunshine in Houston, but also a lot of outdoor fun too. Although my days are filled with worrying about when and what everyone is eating and when everyone requires diaper changes - life is good.

The kiddos are healthy and happy and surprisingly very good. I'm amazed that Joshua is more obedient with the baby around now. Joshua started swim lessons every Wednesday with Creston and is getting surprisingly good and fast -- a little too confident which keeps Creston on his toes. His recent loves are monster trucks (totally wt I know) and Finding Nemo.

Reese is a sweet baby and is beginning to add the weight on. At her 2-week visit with the doctor, she had surpassed her birth weight and was up to 9 lb. 1 oz. So, needless to say, she's eating well. But on top of that, she's sleeping for 2-4 hour stretches which allows me to email and get little things done here and there. Of course there's ups and downs, but it's mostly ups.
