Why the 'Jungle Gym'?

I'm afraid, very afraid. No, not of Joshua falling off the Jungle Gym (I think he's only done that 20+ times already without injury). But afraid that my soon-to-be baby girl is going to be just as active and monkey-like as her big brother.

This week is officially named Jungle Gym week of this pregnancy. Little baby girl Reese is showing mommy just how much fun it is to be cooped up inside a tight space when she's dreaming of swinging from bar to bar at the playground.

It's the stage where I realize that this baby just may be as active, if not more so, than her big brother J and yes, I'm a little frightened of that scenario. Joshua has only had one trip to ER so far (knock on wood) and that didn't even have any relation to a jungle gym. But really, is what is happening inside me a forewarning of some sort? My prayers are begging otherwise.

Well, at least there is an 'end' in sight :: June 3rd at the latest baby. And I promise, we will go to the playground.

March Fun

Okay - so I KNOW that I have been totally lacking with the updates so yes, I apologize. Here's some of the latest happenings:

As a last big 'trip' for our train-truck-car loving boy Joshua before his baby sister will arrive, we took a live train ride on the Texas State Railroad roundtrip from Rusk, TX with our friends, John, Kresta and little John Franklin. It was a little cold, but a GREAT time for the boys!


Our sweet sister Emily got to live it up Texas style during her visit to Houston and we had a blast at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo - Toby Keith concert :)


We were also spoiled to have Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong visit during rodeo time and Joshua loved his time with them.


And Grandpa helped Creston and Joshua build a sandbox - which he LOVES! I think he's been covered in sand every day since it was built!


At the Plaza Moms Easter Egg Hunt - the Easter Bunny stopped by for a picture :) and Joshua actually wasn't scared and no tears - Success!
